The Burwarton Show History
Yes. There are mains water taps around the Showground. Locations are marked on the Showground maps.
Litter bins and recycling skips are located around the Showground. All waste is taken back to the waste collection centre in Gloucester, where it is sorted and where possible recycled, any residue gets burnt to produce electricity ensuring that zero goes to landfill.
If a child or vulnerable person is found on their own, they should be taken to the Secretary’s Tent, the onsite police or one of the First Aid stations. Information will then be announced sensitively via the Public Announcement system.
Marches Ambulance Service will be based near the Secretary’s Tent. They will also have First Aid stations in the Livestock and Horse fields. These are indicated by a red cross on the Showground map.
There is a marquee available for baby changing and feeding located close to the children’s entertainment area.
All parking is FREE. There are large public car parks adjacent to the Showground. There are also designated car parks for Members and Disabled visitors. There will be road signs and stewards to help direct you. Please be aware all parking is on grass fields.
We can issue a replacement card but it will incur a £5 fee per card.
Only current paid-up Members, Sponsors and Stewards can access this area on Show Day. Cards will be scanned/checked upon entry. Guests are NOT permitted. Members wishing to bring guests must ensure they have their own Membership purchased before Monday 6 July. No cards will be issued after this date or on Show Day.
If you are a Member with a Carer, the Carer will also need to be a Member in order to gain access to the Member’s Pavilion. If the Member holds a Blue Badge, Disabled Parking is available until spaces allocated.
Carers are granted free entry with proof of caring status eg. Benefits award letter (redact any private information), carers ID, NHS letter.
When buying Day Tickets online, please add the number of Day Tickets you require. Once you have selected a paying Adult ticket, you will have a check-box option to select a Carer’s Ticket and upload your accreditation for approval. Instructions are on the application page. If you have not received your tickets via email within 3 working days, please contact the Show Office 01746 787535
No, you can simply download or screen shot your online ticket and it can be scanned at the entrance gate. They can be printed should you wish to do so. Each ticket has a unique code so copies will not allow access.
Yes, Day Tickets can be purchased online and at the entrance gates on Show Day. You can pay using cash or card.
Membership CANNOT be purchased on Show Day. Membership must be purchased online or via the Show Office by Monday 6 July. For more information on prices please go to the Members and Tickets page.
While there will not be an ATM on the Showground this year, you can withdraw cash at the Cleobury North Post Office that is just outside Gate 2 by the Village Hall. Re-entry to the Show will be permitted, of course.
The network infrastructure has been much improved in recent years. Yes, you should be able to pay by card. However, technology is always vulnerable so please also carry cash.
The Showground opens to the public at 8am and closes at 8pm. The Member’s Pavilion closes at 9.30pm.
Our show is always on the First Thursday in August!
Dogs are allowed at Burwarton Show. However, please be mindful that dogs are NOT allowed in the Livestock Field or in any of the marquees (eg Shopping Arcade, Member’s Pavilion, WI etc). The showground is a very peoply environment and can be very hot. If you can make alternative arrangements, please do so.
DO NOT leave your dog in your vehicle, even with the window open.
