Livestock classes will be held in accordance with DEFRA regulations current on Show Day.
NO PRIZE MONEY PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE ON SHOW DAY – except Junior classes.
All prize money (except Junior classes) will be paid via BACS or cheque by the end of August. Please ensure you write your name and bank details clearly on the entry forms to avoid payment delays.
Three Shires Cattle Trophy
The Three Shires Cattle Trophy, generously sponsored by MBG Veterinary Surgeons, Shropshire Farm Vets and Hook Norton Vets, is a competition which gives farmers the chance to win a championship prize of £1000 and the coveted Three Shires Cattle Trophy. Runners up will receive £350 and £150 respectively. Points towards the championship will be awarded at three premier agricultural shows. The Dairy exhibitor with the highest number of points will receive £250 and the Mary Oughton Memorial Trophy.

Equine Influenza Vaccinations agreed and recommended by BEF
Equine Influenza and Tetanus vaccinations are a compulsory requirement for all horses attending the Burwarton Show.
The requirement for the first three vaccinations is as follows: the first two vaccinations 21-92 days apart, a third booster between 150-215 days, and an annual booster vaccination within 365 days thereafter. No horse should enter competitions within seven days of an EI vaccination. Foals should commence vaccinations at six months old.
This rule may be subject to change on guidance from FEI/BEF and competitors are requested to check the website before entering. Checks will be made on Show Day.
This also applies to all Heavy Horse competitors.
Classes for:
HEAVY HORSES – any breed, including separate classes for SUFFOLK PUNCH if more than three entries forward on Show Day
Appearance award of £50.00 to all Decorated Heavy Horses forward on Show Day.

SHEARING COMPETITION to be judged from 10.00am prompt. Free class. Entries accepted from 9.30am in the Shearing Marquee. Show entry ticket will be refunded after completion of shearing. Classes for: Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Open.
