It is with much regret that the Burwarton Show Committee announces that Atkinson Action Horses are no longer able to join our Main Ring entertainment line-up on Thursday.

At a recent event, the horses suffered fly bites that have become infected. The Atkinson team has rightly made the decision to rest their horses until they return to full health. Animal welfare is of paramount importance. A duty of care to all animals involved in Burwarton Show is our number one priority and we hope that the Atkinson Horses troupe is back on top form as soon as they can be.

The Committee echoes the performers’ sadness at this last minute decision to withdraw from the show line up and apologise to all visitors who were looking forward to their display.
It is with great relief that we have been able to secure Ollie’s Equestrian. Ollie is one of Atkinsons’ riders who has his own stunt horses. He and his team will be performing equally crazy horse-riding stunts as they gallop across the arena. Be sure to be ring-side for the performances at 1.30pm and 5.20pm.
